Heinkel 114 (German Heinkel He 114) - German single-engine military reconnaissance seaplane. The first aircraft, which was put into service, was delivered to the naval aviation school in June 1937, but the new aircraft was not popular, as it caused distrust of pilots who feared accidents during takeoff and landing.
The affordable price and shortened delivery time of the machines attracted the attention of the governments of Sweden, Romania and Denmark. In 1939, most of the aircraft were returned to the plant for re-equipment, and in 1939-1940 they were exported: 12 to Sweden, 24 to Romania. The contract with Denmark was not fulfilled due to the outbreak of World War II and the occupation of the country by German troops, and 4 vehicles prepared for it subsequently replaced the outdated He 60 on the warships of Spain.
Heinkel He.114A - serial version with BMW-132N engine with 865 hp.
