Description

This Kool-it KST-48-2 ( 48"-2 door ) Refrigerated Prep Station is less than 2 years old and has been converted, using brand new necessary hardware required for said conversion. As well as new copper plumbing w/ adjusted sizes to properly go from the Highly Flammable R290 Refrigerant, to a far more efficient R404A. This is a far safer, Non-flammable refrigerant capable of reaching lower temperatures faster, using less electricity than what could be accomplished with R290 in the same system.
The box itself may be just shy of a couple of years old with a few minor Where's Waldo dings but, for the most part, it looks new and the electronics, the mechanicals, as well as most of the plumbing has all been replaced. Only the two coils and the evaporator fans are factory originals. Everything else, including 85% of the wiring, is all brand new and

The existing hot gas defrost system has been supplemented by the addition of a low draw electric heater to aid in de-icing because of the higher btu rating provided by the new system parameters. The Cooling Capacity has been significantly increased on this unit! As you've probably already figured out, recovery times are simply amazing... and since it utilizes a new digital controller, holding proper temperature is easy peezy! No finicky knob that you have to guess what the temp is set at.
There is no guess work! Just plug it in and once it's down to temp, fill it up! No adjustments required... in fact, this unit also includes an electrical protection package that will safeguard the vitals in the event of a power spike or even a brown out... it's internal Voltage Regulator requires the incoming power to be within the optimal performance range of the prep station or it will actively shut down and wait for the proper voltage levels to return to normal. It also has a built-in delay timer to deal with spikes as they come and go very quickly! The physical controls of the prep station have been relocated to the rear of the machine to aid in thwarting wanna-be employees who like moonlighting as hvacr technicians. Lol
All that's up front, within hands reach is a display panel that keeps you informed of vital data in real time.. incoming voltage, consumed amperages, internal box temp, a wellness indicator that tells you if the compressor is running efficiently... or if it's not. Basically, if the unit is running, the light should be active.. if the light isn't lit and the compressor has been running for several minutes, there's an issue with the indicator, it's pressure sensor or the compressor is stressed out for some reason and all of that would need to be checked out by a technician. So, if you're paying attention, you catch this happening early and call a tech, YOUR REPAIR BILL WILL BE FAR LESS THAN IF YOU HAD WAITED FOR THE ENSUING CATASTROPHE TO HAPPEN AND YOU JUST SHOWD UP TO CLEAN UP, AFTER THE FACT.. But not with a broom, nope... this clean up is performed by a tech at 0/hr plus parts so, avoid cleaning up messes with Your Wallet, make sure the damn light is lit up when it's active! And like I said, if its not lit up after a couple of minutes of the compressor running, turn it off, call a tech.
Long description, but definitely worth the read! Informed customers make better decisions! Basically this unit, for all intensive purposes, is new and can out perform the original factory specifications by such a huge margin, well... I don't wanna slam the manufacturer, they're good people and I've worked on so many of their products over the years, so many in fact that I eventually decided to give their products a new, longer lease on life by exchanging some of the more problematic parts for more robust, American made equivalents and I also redesigned some of the Copper Plumbing on the preps, like this one ( sizes, lengths, bends, expansion chambers ) and upgraded the insulation for said plumbing to increase its efficiency and service intervals. Higher quality insulation resists heat better, lasts 10x longer and has higher R values that keep the refrigerant cooler, which aids in cooling the
Compressor itself. Extending its service life too!
This thing won't last long. It's posted everywhere! Jump in it if you can, this unit is in it to win it... for the long haul!
Save money on the initial purchase, the usage and the lack of technician visits by simply purchasing this unit today. It'll last a good long while if you keep it clean and free of debris in the air vents and condenser coil... and you'll wanna keep other unwanted stuff off of it too... like bleach! Keep that away from this machine! Unless you just like spending unnecessary dollars.. then, in that case, wash it in bleach if you're stacked up like that! Lol... just kidding, keep your money and keep the chlorine away from your refrigeration.
Just my two cents... and this is America so, feel free to do as you please! Keep it cleaned and serviced so you can use it and eventually pass it down or sell it and get your money back... or do as you wish and bathe it in chlorine, kick the doors closed every-time you find'em open, leave the lid open all the time and just let the condenser fan collect the floor trash for you and it'll keep it all in a centralized location for you grab at your leisure... or you can just leave the trash where it's collected and watch the amp draw sky rocket and Your Power Bill gets all jacked up as the compressor eats its own internals like a cannibal... All up to you my friend! Lol... gotta love the freedom we're born with! Hahaha
